Hero(ine), Ballad, Anaphora/Epistrophe ~ An Angel

In answer to Writing 201 prompt Hero(ine)
Form: Ballad
Device: Anaphora/Epistrophe

She was a beautiful angel
Kind too if you please
She was kind and gentle
Fresh, soft as a breeze.

She was a beautiful angel
Reliable and selfless
Always helping others
Anything but callous.

She was a beautiful angel
Although one with no wings
She was where one anchors
Their life, and to whom one clings.

She was a beautiful angel
Her patients loved her so
She soothed them with kindness
She always seemed to know

She was a beautiful angel
Perfection in my life
In love never cautious
She was to be my wife.

She was a beautiful angel
And on that fateful day
Saving a child from a car
She gave her life away.

She was a beautiful angel
And who wouldn’t agree?
Alone with an invisible scar
I hold on to her memory.

She was a beautiful angel
Kind too if you please
She was kind and gentle
Fresh, soft as a breeze.
