Clues

It was automatic for Danny Granger to take note of everything upon entering the living room… the weapon, obvious in the victim’s heart, the opened windows, the erotic sketch.
What drew his attention though were the three wilted flowers scattered among shards of glass… Why only three? Unless it was to commemorate a special day.
He knelt by the woman; she had her hair done and splurged on both luxury items and alcohol.
When he stood, a waft of perfume demanded his attention.
“Max, give me that.”
The officer handed him a wrinkled rug. A different perfume: male or female? He couldn’t tell.
“Max, your wife’s a florist, what do daisies mean?”
Max took a moment.
“A number of things: chastity, cleanliness or purity…”
Danny sighed: going to AA meetings to identify the killer wasn’t going to be simple. Anonymous was the keyword after all.
